Anna Livestock holds drive-by meeting

ANNA The Anna Livestock 4-H Club recently met for their February meeting, by having a drive-through drop-off/pick-up at St. Jacob Lutheran Church in Anna.
During this time, members drove through the parking lot to pick up their recognition certificates and pins from their involvement in 4-H last year and then also dropped off can goods for our community service project for the Christian Cupboard Food Pantry at the church. The members donated around 270 items.
Members also made around 400 Valentine cards to be donated to Fair Haven and Dorothy Love for their residents. Adviser announcements were sent via email to all members. The next meeting is scheduled for March 7.

NEW JERSEY - U.S. Army Veteran Vincent Solomeno announced his Democratic bid this month to challenge Republican Senator Declan O Scanlon, Jr. in New Jersey s Thirteenth Legislative District.
Solomeno, 35, certainly has his work cut out for him as he aims to unseat O Scanlon in the historically Republican district. Although a Democrat hasn t held the seat since 1991, Solomeno remains confident that the election is winnable: This is not about a political party, the lifelong Monmouth County resident said in a statement.
